Black Pond, near Provincetown, on Cape Cod, is a marvel of nature, formed by the movements of the ice sheet that gouged out hillocks and valleys as it advanced and retreated in the depths of geologic time. In this abstract landscape painting I wanted to capture my response to the interplay between surface reflections and the murky depths of the pond and of time.
