Acoma Pueblo, NM

This landscape painting suggests the striking visual effect of the pueblo perched on its mesa top surrounded by the massive rock formations that guarded it from attack by rival tribes.  I loved painting this picture for it seemed to me to epitomize the visual wonder of the New Mexican landscape.
