Tent Rocks is one of the most extraordinary landscapes to be seen in New Mexico. Carved from volcanic tufa by the wind, it is composed of cones of various sizes, up to 100 feet high. My intention in this painting was to capture both the intimacy and the monumentality of this unbelievable landscape.
