Cape Cod Pond in October

October is a beautiful month in Cape Cod. Summer crowds have been gone since Labor Day, and the cooler air lends freshness to the landscape. But with cooler weather comes brighter colors. As in this landscape painting of a view somewhere in South Dennis, the summer house is vacant, and the salt meadow grasses have turned a bright yellow gold hue. Trees are still green, but softer.
