View from the Fire Road, Truro

This small piece was done on site, rapidly painted in gestural style to get as efficiently as possible the essential forms and movement of the scene.  As noted elsewhere (see commentary on "Behind Ballston Beach"), Ballston Beach, in Truro,  is one of my top favorite landscape locations on Cape Cod.  This piece was created in the late afternoon, as seen in the purplish shadows on the road.
