Giant Twisters in the Lagoon Nebula (Hubble Series 4)

My spacescape paintings are inspired by the images taken by the Hubble space telescope and which are in the public domain and available on the internet on various websites maintained by the National Aeronautic and Space Administration (NASA).  As I state in my Artist Statement, these space paintings bridge the gap between abstract and representational painting.  I strive to represent these space phenomena at the same time that I am engaged in making an abstract painting rather than a replica of reality.
